As we remember to forget those Black avant garde women, the ones overlooked by us men who couldn't deal… let us turn back now and listen to their music. Their form. Their beautiful movement up and down the pathway of our lost minds.
They would walk down the street one by one. We would pretend we didn't notice. But they were there. Not fitting into what we thought we expected, but being more than we could dream of. Absorbing the light and fixing it.
